Speakers include:
1) Mr Wong Sui Jau, General Manager of Fundsupermart Singapore and Malaysia.
By having over a decade of experience working in research and analysis of the finance market, Wong has carved a name for himself in the Singapore finance industry.
He began his career in 1998 when he joined Pricewaterhouse Coopers as a Tax Consultant and in 2000, he joined iFAST Financial in Singapore as a Senior Research Analyst and has been actively involved in the regional research content for Fundsupermart.
He climbed the ranks to General Manager of Fundsupermart in 2005 and in 2008, he took on the dual role as General Manager of Fundsupermart Malaysia.
Wong’s invaluable experience in the industry has led to his views being frequently featured on various media including Channel News Asia, CNBC and Channel U.
His written articles and quotes have also been featured in Singapore’s major newspapers including Business Times, Straits Times and Lian He Zao Bao. Wong holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University.
2) Nik Azhar Abdullah (Chief Executive Officer and Non-Independent Executive Director) Alliance investment management berhad
Nik Azhar, a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), graduated with Honours in Accounting from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom.
He joined Alliance Investment Management Berhad (AIMB) on 1 March 2007, bringing with him more than 17 years of experience in the financial and capital markets.
Nik Azhar began his career in a listed entity in Malaysia in 1993 as an Internal Auditor and later ventured into investment management, starting with Commerce International Merchant Bankers Bhd.
In 1995, he joined Commerce Asset Fund Managers Sdn Bhd (now known as CIMB-Principal Asset Management Bhd) and was later seconded to BT Financial Group (Australia) for a year under Asia Equity ex-Japan Group.
In 2004, he became the Acting Chief Investment Officer where he managed funds worth more than RM5 billion.
In December 2004, he moved over to Avenue Invest Berhad as Chief Investment Officer where he was responsible for growing the funds under management by 30% and managing top performing funds which had consistently won the Edge-Lipper and Standard and Poor’s awards.
3) CHEN FAN FAI (Chief INVESTMENT Officer) Kenanga Fund Management Berhad
Chen joined Kenanga Asset Management (KAM) as its Chief Investment Officer in March 2007. KAM was subsequently merged into Kenanga Fund Management Berhad (formerly known as Kenanga Unit Trust Berhad) where he continues serving as the Chief Investment Officer.
Chen brings with him more than 18 years experience in the fund management industry managing portfolios invested in regional equities and fixed income.
Prior to Kenanga Fund Management, he was the Chief Investment Officer of Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad and had also held senior investment positions with UOB Asset Management Limited and OCBC Asset Management Limited (now known as Lion Global Investors Limited).
Chen holds a bachelor degree in engineering, a MBA and a MSc in Accounting.
4) HO SENG YEE (executive director and chief executive director) osk-uob unit trust management berhad
Ho is the Executive Director and CEO of OSK-UOB Unit Trust Management Berhad.
He joined the top ranks of the OSK Group in year 2000 and by 2002 was posted to head the unit trust division spearheading the growth and management of a fund size of currently over RM4.7 billion.
He brings with him vast experience and knowledge of the financial services industry, his active involvement in sales and marketing besides origination of innovative products and new businesses.
Over the years and under his care and strong leadership, OSK-UOB Unit Trust Management Berhad has consistently won many unit trust funds awards.
5) MICHAel auyeung (director, chief executive officer and chief investment officer) pacific mutual
Auyeung was appointed a Director of Pacific Mutual on 24 September 2004. As CEO, Auyeung is in charge of the overall management and direction of the Company.
As CIO, he is responsible for the funds’ performances via the formulation of the funds’ strategies and investment decisions.
He commenced his career in the investment industry in Asia in 1989. Based out of Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia, Auyeung has been employed as an Investment Analyst and Head of Research in the securities industry, covering the North Asian as well as ASEAN markets.
After working for more than five years in equities research with international, regional and local investment houses, Auyeung subsequently moved on to institutional marketing and management positions with Malaysian based brokerages, before taking up his position as Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Mutual.
He holds a Capital Markets And Services Representative Licence issued by the Securities Commission since 21 December 2004. Auyeung also has a Master of Business Administration (University of Western Ontario, London, Canada); Bachelor of Science (University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada).
