Money Can Buy Credibility | Jack Neo Scandal

I am a Great fan of Jack Neo and love all his movies.

He well  known for his comedic acts and skits and received the Best Director Award at the Silver Screen Awards for his short film in 1998.

Jack Neo has directed more than ten movies and in some movie he act as a actor too.

His movies, especially Money No Enough and I Not Stupid are so popular that have touched so many audience emotional chord.

Jack-Neo-Scandal

.

.

In his movies, he often asks people to be good, honest and true to their families. His movies also tend to portray moral problems in Singapore and they tell people how to behave

But in real life, he can do anything. There is totally a conflict thing all together. He can’t say one thing and do another.

The  Jack Neo scandal has totally change my view on his movies!

I expect people would think twice about supporting his future films.

Jack Neo, Singapore’s most successful filmmaker, held a press conference early Thursday at an auditorium in Scorpio East Building on Tai Sing Avenue.

The whole press conference was over in just five minutes.

English Translation

Jack Neo: “Dear friends of the media, thanks for your concern over the last few days.

I would like to stress that all that had happened is solely the fault of mine and does not involve anybody else. I feel very fortunate today that my wife has forgiven me … (broke down and cry).

My wife has suffered more pain than any woman in this world. I am very sorry for what has happened. This is my last time speaking to the media.”

Irene Kng: “I do not know how to handle the media .. (crying as she spoke).

All I want to say is that I have forgiven Jack. I treasure Jack Neo, my marriage and my children. I have been hurt alot.

I ask the media to let us off and give us some space and your blessings. Thank you.”

I do not understand WHY some people like Jack Neo, Tiger Wood, Swami Nithyananda and …………… could DESTROY their Credibility in less than One day when it takes them more than Ten years to build?

Credibility is NOT that MONEY Can Buy.

Once it Lost, it  GONE FOREVER no matter what Good You Have Did in the past.

I believe Forgiveness is earned, not staged.

Student claims Neo made advances when she was 16

.

SINGAPORE: A young French student is the latest to claim that film-maker Jack Neo hit on her – when she was only 16 more than five years ago.

Maelle Meurzec, now 21, told The New Paper in an interview at her Upper East Coast road home on Tuesday night that the 50-year-old movie director hit on her while she was acting in his movie I Do I Do in November 2004.

Out in the open: Maelle said Neo (below, right) harassed her until her family threatened to make a police report.

From what she thought was a “friendly” wrap around her shoulders on the first day they met, she claimed that Neo continued to make more aggressive advances on her even after the filming had ended, including sending her 30 SMSes, and repeated attempts to take her out to dinner at hotels.

The pretty Singaporean citizen of French descent, then a model with MC Models, did not mince her words in the TNP interview, calling Neo “a bit of a creep”, “a sleazebag” and “a jerk”.

The final straw came on Christmas Day 2004 when Neo sent her an SMS, saying that he wished they could be together. Upset, Maelle told her mother Agnes Meurzec, 51, about it.

The family decided they would make a police report if Neo continued to harass the girl.

Neo stopped messaging her and they never met again. (Neo’s daughter, the eldest of his four children, is two years younger than Maelle.)

At least 10 more women are reported to have been linked to Neo since his affair with 22-year-old Wendy Chong first broke last weekend when the freelance model showed up at his Pasir Ris semi-detached house last Friday, demanding to see his wife Irene Kng, 46. — Singapore Straits Times/Asia News Network

We had sex in car

.

JUST a month after meeting Jack Neo at an audition for Money No Enough 2 in 2008, freelance model Wendy Chong had sex with the Singaporean movie director in his car.

She revealed the lurid details of their tryst in an interview with Shin Min Daily News on Sunday. She claimed that Neo had curtains in his car and the windows were tinted, and they had to be careful not to leave hair behind.

The 22-year-old model, who broke her two-year affair with one of Singapore’s most successful film-makers in the Lianhe Wabao evening newspaper last Saturday, told Shin Min: ‘I got the role of a nurse in Money No Enough 2 and I was excited as it was my first big screen role.

‘That day, it was Jack who came over to me and began chatting. He even asked for my number. Of course, I gave him my number – the most famous director in Singapore asked for it.’

Chong said she did not take Jack seriously but claimed the 50-year-old director called her the next day, inviting her to his set. Days later, she went with him to a production house in Outram Park to see how movies were edited.

One day, after watching Neo direct a movie, Chong claimed he offered to take her home, and later inside his Toyota Alphard, they had sex.

She told Shin Min: ‘His car has curtains and the windows are tinted, so even though we had sex, it was safe. But after we were done, Jack was careful to get rid of all traces of our tryst. He said no strands of hair should be found and the inclination of the car seats should be adjusted back to where it was.’

Neo has been married for 27 years and has four children with Madam Irene Kng, 46. Neo’s affair with Chong was exposed when the mistress showed up at his semi-detached home in Pasir Ris on Friday, demanding to see his wife.

  1. Cheating director called Singapore’s Tiger Woods

SINGAPORE: Columnists and bloggers are calling him Singapore’s Tiger Woods – not for his golfing skills but for an extramarital affair that has tarnished the image of the city-state’s most beloved film director.

On Thursday, in a news conference reminiscent of Wood’s confession on live television last month, director Jack Neo, admitted to cheating on his wife, culminating a week of revelations about a two-year relationship Neo had with a 22-year-old model.

Other aspiring actresses and models, including a 16-year-old, have told local tabloids this week that Neo aggressively tried seducing them, including promising to make them stars in his movies.

“It’s all my fault,” Neo, 50, said before covering his face with his hands and crying. “Please give us a chance.”

Neo’s wife of 27 years, Irene, was by his side. She said she forgave her husband and would stay with him. She broke down after speaking and collapsed while walking away. She had to be carried from the stage amid a blaze of photographer’s flash lights.

“I’ve already been hurt,” she said through tears. “I really need your blessings.”

Neo gained fame as a comedian on Singapore television in the 1990s and later directed popular Chinese and English-language movies – such as “Money No Enough” and “I Not Stupid” – that celebrated the importance of family among other topics.

His latest, “Being Human,” opened in Singapore last week.

The government has recognised Neo with public service and cultural awards and he shares a blog with Foreign Affairs Minister George Yeo, who wrote on Sunday that Singaporeans should “rally around Jack, his wife and his children.”

Others have been quick to distance themselves from Neo. Mitsubishi Electric Asia on Wednesday dropped Neo as a spokesman for the company’s StarMex air conditioners.

“It amounts to Singapore’s very own version of the Tiger Woods sex scandal,” said Chia Han Keong, a columnist at newspaper My Paper. “Just like Woods, his act of unfaithfulness to his wife has elicited far more reprehension than perhaps he would have expected.”

Woods ended three months of silence last month and confirmed he had extra-maritial affairs, at a televised public statement not attended by his wife, Elin. The golf superstar lost a number of advertising sponsors and says he is taking leave from the sport while working to save his marriage.

Neo’s saga began Saturday when Wendy Chong, a model who had small roles in two Neo movies, told a Chinese-language tabloid she has been his girlfriend for two years and confronted Neo’s wife last week.

“Aw come on, that girl is young enough to be your daughter,” wrote blogger Victor Koo. “Jack seems to be playing Tiger Woods.”

Newspapers have published allegations of more affairs and quoted actresses who say they spurned his advances.

Maelle Meurzec, 21, said that after a small role in Neo’s 2004 movie I Do I Do, he bombarded her with text messages and told her to meet him at hotels.

    She turned him down.

“This guy is supposedly promoting family values but he can’t even hold himself back from sending text messages to a 16-year-old,” Meurzec told the New Paper.

  2. Neo’s wife breaks down while talking to the media

SINGAPORE: The man who is in the spotlight over the recent revelations of his extra-marital affairs has finally spoken.

Jack Neo, Singapore’s most successful filmmaker, held a press conference early yesterday.

Fifty or more members of the press had gathered at an auditorium in the Scorpio East Building on Tai Sing Avenue, where Neo’s production house is based.

The press conference started with Neo’s manager Tang Wing Fai, who said he hoped the press conference would allow the matter to settle down.

He also told the media that there would not be a question-and-answer session.

After addressing those present, Neo and his wife Irene Kng walked in. They were holding hands as they entered the auditorium.

Neo pulled a chair out for her to sit before he sat down next to her.

Both looked glum, with Kng visibly exhausted. She kept her gaze fixed on her lap all the time.

Speaking in Mandarin, Neo started: “Thanks for coming. The past few days have not been pleasant. I know I am the one at fault, completely.”

He said: “I’m fortunate that my wife has forgiven me.”

At this point, he broke down in tears.

Neo continued: “My wife has endured what most people wouldn’t, but she has forgiven me.”

“She doesn’t know how to face the media, and I hope this is the last time we have to speak to the media,” said Neo.

Kng had tears in her eyes as he spoke. He then turned around to his wife, squeezed her hand and spoke to her softly before he handed her the microphone.

It was Kng’s turn to speak.

“I’m not an artiste, so I don’t know how to face such situations,” she started.

“I love Jack. I love my marriage and I love my family,” said a sad-looking Kng, dressed in a purple top and jeans.

She then asked that people “let us off”.

“I need your support. I really need your blessings,” she added.

She then broke down, crying inconsolably, and had to be helped off the stage by friends.

When her knees gave way slightly, the pack of photographers rushed forward.

Neo quickly dashed to his wife’s side and shouted: “Get away!”

Neo cried as his wife fainted in his arms.

Artiste and comedian Mark Lee went on stage to help. Ah Nan, one of the J-Team artistes, yelled at photographers to back off.

A commotion ensued as he screamed at them while raising his arms to bar them from getting closer.

The whole press conference was over in just five minutes.

  3. Neo’s ‘Being Human Being’ may fail to make the cut

SINGAPOREAN director Jack Neo’s latest movie Being Human Being, which needs to hit box-office raking of at least S$2.5mil (RM6mil) to break even, may not be able to “make it,” reported Sin Chew Daily.

Entertainment insiders pointed out that if it does not make S$1.8mil (RM4.32mil), it will be hard to cover its costs, the daily said.

It was reported that the movie, released on March 4, was not faring well at the box-office.

Neo’s illicit sex affairs with a model and other women made headlines in local Chinese newspapers and in Singapore over the past few days.

Neo’s Money No Enough raked in S$6.02mil (RM14.4mil) and even a less famous movie One More Chance collected S$1.18mil (RM2.83mil).

    > The daily also reported parents complaining that it was harsh for Year One pupils sitting for the mathematics test under the Literacy and Numeracy (LINUS) programme to go for counselling with only one wrong answer in the test.

A parent complained that such test would damage the confidence of pupils.

The parent also complained that pupils were tested on areas they have yet to be taught in class.

  4. Why Neo didn’t apologise

SINGAPORE: Television star Mark Lee said Jack Neo had intended to apologise to his fans, his family and others but cut the press conference short on Thursday when his wife became too upset.

“Jack told me in the car this morning that he was prepared to apologise to his fans, his parents, his siblings, his father-in-law, his church friends, the parents of the women and everyone who has been affected in any way by this,” he said.

Neo had planned to apologise after his wife Irene Kng spoke but “he couldn’t do it because Ah Bu stood up to leave”, said Lee, using the Hokkien nickname for his mentor’s wife. “Ah Bu” means mother.

“He knew that Ah Bu stood up because she could not take it any more. The pressure and all the camera flashes were too much for her. So when she wanted to leave, Jack had to accompany her,” he said.

Lee also defended Neo from charges that he was using his wife as a shield at the press conference.

“The fact is, they had already discussed and decided that they wanted to face the media together. If Irene had said no, I know Jack would not have forced her.”

  6. Go back to your wives, Jack Neo tells errant hubbies

JACK Neo, Singapore’s most successful film producer, recently embroiled in a scandalous affair, has called on philanderers to return to their wives, reported China Press and Sin Chew Daily.

The dailies quoted him as admitting to his mistakes during an interview with Lianhe Wanbao, a Singapore newspaper, on Saturday.

China Press also quoted Neo as saying that he had wanted to die but the strong support from his wife had helped him go through the ordeal

It was reported that many people such as his wife’s friends and even neighbours wanted to beat him up.

Sin Chew Daily also reported artiste Foyce Le Xuan as saying she had proof that Neo made sexual advances towards her,

She added that Neo’s denial of the advances was terrible.

    > A 70-year-old retired lawyer’s quest for his sweetheart whom he met in Singapore 48 years ago was also highlighted in the daily.

The man who is now living in Ipoh said he met his first love, Choo Len, 67, in 1962 when he was studying law in the-then Malaya Univer-sity.

Sin Chew Daily reported that Xia Wei Xin was born in Hong Kong but moved to Malaysia with his family when he was young. The couple parted ways in 1965. Xia said they met each other once 21 years ago.

    > Nanyang Siang Pau reported that a woman in Malacca had spent RM16,000 for weight loss injections and diet but was disappointed when there was no effect.

Wong, 42, a businesswoman, had signed up with a beauty salon on Dec 28 last year and went to the salon six days a week until Feb 12.

  7. Neo plans flick over his fling with model

SINGAPORE filmmaker Jack Neo is considering making a movie about his two-year affair with part-time model Wendy Chong, reported Sin Chew Daily.

“This is possible. But it is difficult to say when. I want to send out an important message through this movie. It is not about the box office or anything else,” he was quoted by the daily.

All the major Chinese dailies also quoted Neo as saying he would not cheat on his wife even if he was given S$1mil (RM2.4mil).

He said he had paid a heavy price for his extra-marital affairs, adding that everything would come to a bad end if he were to repeat his action.

“I was living in fear all the time. I had always thought that something bad might happen to me at any moment. I lived like a convict,” he was quoted by the daily when asked about his affair with Chong.

Neo hoped the public would forgive him, adding that he would never let his fans down again.

He denied he was merely “putting up a show” at the five-minute press conference where his wife Irene Kng fainted in his arms.

On its latest movie Being Human Being, Neo said parts of the script reflected his own state of mind.

    > The daily also reported that Dong Zong (United Chinese School Committees Association of Malaysia) had set up a special task force to look into the problems over computer lessons in Chinese primary schools.

Dong Zong president Dr Yap Sin Tian said the task force would gather feedback from parents, students and teachers before submitting a letter to the Education Ministry.

He said he was upset with deputy miniter Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong for not looking into the problem.

  8. Neo gets sex tape blackmail

PETALING JAYA: Singaporean filmmaker Jack Neo is being blackmailed by an unknown man who claims he has a DVD of Neo having sex with a woman.

The unknown man sent an e-mail to Neo on Tuesday night, informing him that he had a copy of a DVD of Neo with Foyce Le Xuan, a Singaporean artiste who had earlier alleged that Neo had made sexual advances towards her in a hotel.

Chinese dailies here reported that the e-mail was attached with a frame capture of the video.

The photo supposedly showed a naked man, whose back could only be seen, apparently having sexual intercourse with a woman on a bed. The face of the woman could be identified as Foyce’s.

It was reported that the e-mail and picture were also sent to Singapore Chinese daily Lianhe Wanbao, which ran the news.

The man threatened Neo that he would duplicate the DVD and distribute it if Neo did not admit to the affair with Foyce.

The e-mail to Neo said: “You have been denying the affair with Foyce from the beginning. Please respond to me before I distribute the DVD to the public.”

On Wednesday morning, Neo, through his manager, confirmed that he had received such an e-mail but declined to comment.

Foyce, when contacted by the media, said she was shocked when she got to know the news from her church pastor and lodged a police report immediately.

She stressed that she did not have sex with Neo in a hotel.

She said it must have been someone who wanted to tarnish both their reputations who did this.

Foyce believed this was done by the same group of people who made threatening calls to her earlier when the scandal first broke.

“There is no way that there is a DVD. If there is one, it must be something that was edited and superimposed with me on it to make the content look real,” she added.

  9. Jack Neo’s new flick to open tomorrow

You reap what you sow. Ironically, this is the main message of Jack Neo’s latest flick Being Human.

Neo’s buddy and actor Mark Lee plays the main protagonist who is a loving husband despite his less-than-noble business tactics.

Lee and fellow actors Yeo Yann Yann and Tay Yin Yin were in town to promote Neo’s new movie.

The director, who has been keeping a low profile since his recent scandal with a bevy of starlets, did not attend the press conference but the Singaporean filmmaker is said to be joining the entourage for a roadshow to launch his movie later this week.

Being Human tells the story of Max, a hard-working man who finds himself being haunted by his conscience (played by Taiwanese celebrity Nono) when he insists on employing unethical means to achieve his business aims.

Johor-born Yeo portrays Max’s gentle wife who loves children and desperately wants to have her own, while Kuantan native Tay plays a kind-hearted plus-size girl who is duped into joining a slimming contest organised by Max.

The movie is distributed by Grand Brilliance and produced by J Team Productions, Scorpio East Pictures and Mei Ah Film Production Co. Being Human opens in local cinemas nationwide tomorrow.

  10. Neo apologises to fans for his mistakes

KUALA LUMPUR: Using his own experience, Singaporean filmmaker Jack Neo told his fans not to assume things done in the dark will remain undetected.

“Everybody knows about my present predicament. Before the matter came to light, I seemed to be putting all the messages in my movies as if to remind myself about my own actions in an attempt to avoid retribution.

“But, now I want to tell everyone that just because you are doing things in the dark, do not assume you can escape the consequences. Once discovered, the consequences will be especially disastrous,” he said.

Hundreds had turned up to catch Neo in person at a meet-the-fans session to promote his latest movie Being Human at Fiesta Street, Sungei Wang Plaza yesterday.

His stint here was accompanied by main cast members of the movie, Singaporean comedian-host Mark Lee, Johor-born actress Yeo Yann Yann and Kuantan native Michelle Tay.

Neo apologised to his fans for the mistakes he had committed.

He had recently hit the news for allegedly being involved with several Singaporean starlets.

“I’d like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your continuous support. I did wrong and I’ve let you down.

“I hope everybody can forgive me and continue to support my movies. I know there’s no point saying too much now. Time will show that I’m now a new man. I hope to demonstrate my sincerity with a good production,” he said.

  11. Troubled filmmaker Neo spotted with wife in Taiwan

SINGAPOREAN filmmaker Jack Neo has been spotted with his wife in Taiwan in what appears to be a trip to patch up his marriage.

Neo, who has been nicknamed “Singapore’s Tiger Woods” by the media after reports about his alleged links to 11 women, was photographed holding his wife Irene Kng close to him while walking on a street in Taiwan.

Sin Chew Daily reported that Neo had travelled to the island for a discussion with a Taiwan-based Malaysian actor. It is believed that Neo is planning to make a Taiwanese version of I Not Stupid, his 2002 hit movie.

Kng, who broke down during a press conference last month when Neo apologised over his indiscretions, also reportedly went to a night market in Taiwan with her husband.

Neo apparently kept using his mobile phone to take pictures of his wife.

They were also seen sharing a bowl of noodles at the night market, besides seeking shelter under an umbrella while walking in the rain, the daily said.

    > Nanyang Siang Pau reported that another teenager was raped by the Johor Baru-based tuition teacher who was involved in indecent acts with his students.

A woman who claimed to be the girl’s mother told the daily that her daughter was repeatedly raped by the tuition teacher for half a year.

She said she thought her daughter was the only victim until she read in the newspapers that it was the same man.

“I was really sad and heartbroken when my daughter told me about it,” said the woman who refused to be named.

The daily quoted the woman as saying that her daughter was only 17 years old when it happened in 2008.

She said the teacher, whom she confronted at his home the day after she found out about the rape, said he did that because he loved her daughter.

He even suggested marriage, she said.

“What made me upset was that the man’s wife did not get angry at all after hearing our conversation,” the woman said.
