Public Bank 45th Anniversary Video | Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow
This was the recent 45th anniversary celebrations featuring a cabaret-style welcome of chairman Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow waving stiffly from the back of a pickup truck has been mocked by Malaysians with comparisons made to parades held in honour of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il.
Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow founded Public Bank in 1966 and become one of Malaysia’s most successful banks. He is one of Malaysia’s top three richest men and the Forbes estimated his net worth was around RM13 billion.
I think there is nothing wrong with this anniversary celebrations compare to what those happen in Multi Level Marketing, Unit Trust and Insurance Recognition Gatherings.
Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow has worked so hard and fully deserves this.

Ooooooh Wooooooh
Give me freedom, give me fire, give me reason, take me higher
See the champions, take the field now, you define us, make us feel proud
In the streets are, heads are liftin , as we lose our inhabition,
Celebration its around us, every nation, all around us
Singin forever young, singin songs underneath that sun
Lets rejoice in the beautiful game.
And together at the end of the day.
WE ALL SAY
When I get older I will be stronger
They’ll call me freedom Just like a wavin’ flag
And then it goes back
And then it goes back
And then it goes back
When I get older I will be stronger
They’ll call me freedom
Just like a wavin’ flag
And then it goes back

I think it’s nothing wrong too. PBB annual dinner have always been very grand and fancy. Why this year certain people making a big “Huh HaH”?
Tan Sri Teh is a very good and caring boss. Not surprising that staffs love him
I can’t watch this, was the organizer making those poor people worshiping Teh? If Teh has any humility at all, he would not accept a “celebration/worship??” in this manner.
i watched through the whole video and wanted to puke afterwards.
i tot this was public bank’s anniversary? looks like its the personal birthday party of teh hong piow instead. even welcoming the Agong oso involved less pomp and ceremony than this. is this the opening ceremony at the Olympics? lol.
is he a good and caring boss? i dunno. but this worshipping and idolising a person is distasteful. look at how the PBB staff (yes those are PBB staff, not professional entertainers) kneel on the ground and postrate themselves for him. the last time i did that was to God in church.
Welp, compared to MLM gatherings, at least this one is funded by REAL business.
The old man sure knows how to throw a party. I tip my sikh turban off to him
