RHB Bank Berhad Bad Services| Thumb Down
I went to RHB Bank Card Centre to cancel my RHB Credit Card on December 2009 at Leboh Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.
The officer advised me to keep the credit card as RHB would waive the Annual Fee and my Service Tax RM50 would be only be due on December 2010.
I agreed and signed a waiver form.
Surprising on early 2010, I noticed the Annual Fee was charged even I have signed the waiver form. Immediately a call was made to RHB Bank Call Centre and they would investigated.
On the following month, the Annual Fee has incurred late charges and interest plus a reminder notice to pay. Every time I got these statement or reminder notice, I will called up the RHB Bank Call Centre to ask for waiver.
Later I was so fed up and decided to cancel the RHB Credit Card and ask for refund on my credit balance. The officer over the phone say the Refund Check is in the mode of Payment Order and only can be cash out at any RHB Bank Bank
Despite so many call to RHB Bank Call Centre, I still got the outstanding charges reflected in my latest statement.
On March 2010, I got my Refund Check on credit balance(extra payment made in my account)
My question is why there is outstanding late charges when I got my Refund Check?
Getting Refund Check mean my account was closed and there would be no more outstanding balances.
Despite so many calls to RHB Bank Call Centre, RHB Bank still cannot solve a simple issue! What a Bad service!
I even called up Mr.Andrew on RHB Collection Unit to report about the reminder notice and he claimed would investigate and call me back. Until today he do not even bother to get back to me.
What a Bad Customer Service!
That’s a very bad service instead, as expected, since they are about losing you as customer.
You should just insist to cancel the card right at the very beginning as you have actually decided already. Just do not eat the agent’s sweet words.
The only good thing to do now is to take this as a lesson (to all of us, thank you for sharing your bad experience) in our subsequent financial endeavour.
I also in this kind of situation. I remember called RHB service centre to cancel my credit card last year but yesterday, i received a statement said that i must pay for credit card service tax. I’m very regret for sign up for RHB CC just to get some small gift for children.
I had the same issue too. I have cancelled my credit cards with them and they still charged tax and annual fees. I am currently overseas and when I called their customer service, I was informed that my account is with the Collections Department and they have no information. RHB doesnt deserve any customers and should merge or be swallowed by other banks in Malaysia.
