Simple Useful Tips for  Matta Fair

Just take your time and visit the Matta Fair for all 3 days to get the best deal.

Set in your mind your target destination and budget.  Never ever rush into buying any “cheap” holiday.

Take your time to explorer the best bargain and choose what you are looking for in mind.

If you visit at the last day of the Matta Fair, some travel agents may throw in some special  bonuses with your dream package or slash prices into half, in order to close the final sales.

Always ask for any Hidden Costs like Airport Taxes, optional tour, Baggage Tipping, Tour Bus Tips etc as it may not included in your “cheap” package price.

Beware of  Misleading promotion package price. Normally a RM1.800.00 holiday package as offer, can end up to RM3,200.00++ per person after adding all those Airport Taxes, optional tour, Baggage Tipping, Tour Bus Tips etc

Take note of the number shopping stop in the itinerary. OMG, some even have at least 6 to 10 shopping stops! Shopping Stop is where you are FORCE to visit a factory or shop. If you buy anything then the travel operaotor get handsome of commissions. You may get better deal shopping else where. 

Ask also when  the itinerary will start everyday. Some start as early as 6am so they can cover the most places in a day. If you  are looking for a relaxation and flexibility holiday, then the tour package may not just for you.

The President of Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents or MATTA , Dato’ Mohd Khalid B Harun said Penang needs a convention centre to cater for future MATTA Fairs. Dato’ Khalid said they usually have to book the venue 10 years ahead. He was speaking at the opening of MATTA Fair 2010.
