TRAINERS’ PROFILES

Dr. Michael Leong – Director, ShareInvestor

Dr. Michael Leong is a private investor, an inspiring speaker, whose passion is in stocks and shares.

Dr Michael Leong was the founder of ShareInvestor and after selling the company to SPH, he now serves as a consultant.

Dr Leong started his IT career with IBM in 1991. By 1995, he was the regional general manager of IBM’s healthcare & pharmaceutical business in the ASEAN and South Asian region. In 1997, Dr Leong became the CEO of SWi Holdings, an Australian owned healthcare IT company which bought the healthcare IT business from ICL Fujitsu.

Dr Leong is a medical doctor by profession, having obtained his degree from Queen’s University, Belfast, UK. He practiced in the UK for 6 years, specialising in surgery and emergency medicine.

In his last year as a doctor, he practiced with a group of doctors operating out of Harley Street in London.

Dr Leong was a finalist in the ASME Netrepreneur of the Year 2001 award. In Oct 2002, Dr Leong published a book reflecting his journey from professional to employee to entrepreneur.

The title of his book is Be An Entrepreneur. In April 2005, Dr Leong was selected by Euromoney Institutional Investor as one of the worldwide Online Finance top 30 entrepreneurs.

Dr Leong served on the 2005 – 2007 SGX Securities Committee.

He published his second book, Your First Million, in early 2009.

Conrad Alvin Lim – Wealth Master Trainer, Adam Khoo Learning Technologies

Group Conrad, 44 is one of Singapore’s few successful Professional On-line Traders.

As the resident Wealth Coach at Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group since December 2006, Conrad has trained more than 2,000 students in the art and science of trading and investing.

He is very sought after for his intimate knowledge of Technical Analysis, Candlestick Pattern Application, Sector Rotation and short-term trading techniques including Day Trading and Scalping.

He is also known for his unique and simplified application of Fibonacci and for his Defensive and Psychological approach to trading.

Yap Huey Chiang – Head – Equity Research, RHB Research Institute

Yap Huey Chiang joined RHB Research Institute in December 2005.

He has been in the securities industry for more than 18 years, mostly in research and fund management, and at various firms including ING Barings and Nomura.

He has experience covering both Malaysia as well as South East Asia equities. Huey Chiang graduated from University College London, England, with a Bachelor of Science (Upper Second Class Honours) degree, and City University Business School, England, with a Master of Business Administration degree.
